The BIOESTETICA, a new therapeutic model

In the total rehabilitation of the mouth of our patients, there are various possibilities derived from the different treatment philosophies that currently exist. Some colleagues of profession will surely follow treatment criteria based on the dental aesthetics or the masticatory function of the patient, however the key to success lies in the diagnosis of the causes that led to the masticatory system of the patient to failure. So much so that if we maintain the characteristics that led the masticatory system to this bad state, it is very likely that our result will continue along the same path.

On the other hand, there are people who have exceptionally perfect chewing systems and who have never needed or need any type of dental treatment. The analysis of the characteristics of these people leads Dr. Robert Lee to conceive the bioesthetic discipline. Using his training as a biologist to observe similarities, he managed to develop this new therapeutic model. After more than 10 years applying the bioesthetic principles to the dental rehabilitation of our patients, at Clínicas Den we have obtained very good results. Perhaps the most remarkable advantage is the aspect of dental wear , many patients who have been mistakenly classified as bruxists , when they are diagnosed and treated with bioesthetic principles, obtain maximum masticatory efficacy that results in long-term stability of the result. The advantage of a function so close to the ideal is that the teeth no longer wear out more, and the functional comfort is really appreciable.

Many of our patients come for chronic craniomandibular pain , the origin is usually an altered chewing functionality. Once treated with bioesthetic principles, the pain is definitively solved. With the right treatment for each case, we can achieve an end to the problem.
