Poisoning
Poisoning in childhood is a frequent complaint in consultation health centers, but seem to have been stabilizing in recent years thanks in part to improved health education of families and security checks. Poisonings involve accidental contact with toxic substances that can cause serious health problems and even lead to life-threatening situations. In the case of pediatric poisonings occur most often at home by the accidental ingestion by children of medicines, toiletries or pesticides. It is therefore very important to keep out of reach any intoxicant or drug. There may also be poisoning bites and insects or animals, and food poisoning. To diagnosis a complete physical examination of the child is required, and the treatment will vary depending on the poisoning.
