Rheumatic fever
Rheumatic fever is an inflammatory and immune disease that develops from a bacterial infection called strep throat or skin, also causes strep throat and scarlet fever. Pathology suffer mainly affects children and heart, joints, skin, blood vessels and brain. Symptoms occur two to three weeks after infection, manifested with joint swelling, redness and loss of function in elbows and knees have occurred. Other symptoms include skin nodules, pain, redness or warmth in the joints, fever, weight loss, tiredness and stomach pain. The treatment consists of rest and the administration of anti-inflammatories and antibiotics.
